Our move to Winchester, VA was unexpected and unintentional. In the dead of winter, we were forced to move from our previous residence because our landlord wanted to sell the rental property. It was a frantic month of searching for a new home for our family when we finally stumbled upon Winchester, VA, and what a blessing it has been.
Geographically, Winchester is located in the Shenandoah Valley, between the Blue Ridge Mountains and the Allegheny Mountains, and is just 15 miles north-northeast of the northern peak of Massanutten Mountain. Words cannot describe the beauty of the views here - it's like living in a postcard.
What drew us to Winchester was the balance between small-town living and a vibrant community. There's an abundance of activities, restaurants, outdoor fun, local farms, breweries, cideries, and wineries. As a photographer, I'm in love with the unique charm of the town and the countless photo opportunities that wait around every corner.
